“Patience is a competitive advantage” James Clear
Happy RTB Monday! Where we aim to entertain and inform. We hope you enjoy and have a great week!
3 Key Learnings
Opportunity is everywhere.
In the digital age of YouTube, Google, Spotify etc, knowledge, and thus opportunity is just a click away. For those that are innovators and like to think disruptively, now is the perfect time to take risks and experiment.
One example we really like on leveraging the information available online is the tweet by Timothy Armoo. He was able to make £87,000 in 9 weeks using teachings he learned on a podcast. The business principles he speaks about are applicable irrespective of your starting point, what matters is the process and the system you use and the application of the knowledge.

You can increase your surface area for good luck by taking action.
The forager who explores widely will find lots of useless terrain, but is also more likely to stumble across a bountiful berry patch than the person who stays home.
Similarly, the person who works hard, pursues opportunity, and tries more things is more likely to stumble across a lucky break than the person who waits. Maximise your opportunity for serendipity!
One of our favourite newsletters by Triston Andre touched on this in more detail. Check out his post below

RTB Recommendations
Our TV show of the month is Lupin.
Lupin is a French show featuring actor, Omar Sy, who plays Assane Diop, a gentleman thief avenging his father’s death, based on the adventures of Arsène Lupin.
This show is definitely something new and refreshing, which is the main reason for why we love it because it’s what Netflix needs right now. Season 1 had us wanting more, but we won’t give you any spoilers...Season 2 is out now!
If you’re looking for a new series to get stuck into, we can vouch that this show is a 10/10 RTB recommendation!!
ICYMI
This month, with the sun finally shining and lockdown slowly easing, RTB’s very own Alexandra reminded us of one of the most important life lessons: SLOW DOWN. Alexandra brought us back to reality with a thought provoking article expressing the importance of enjoying each stage of our lives and taking our time with ourselves.
“ I stand firm knowing that I am pushing something of value out there and even if I don’t see the results straight away, I know that I am blessing someone.”

My Entirely Virtual Grad Scheme
Teams. The Internet problems, muted microphones, virtual hand claps and more. Regardless of Covid 19 and everything that’s happening around us, we are expected to have the same work etiquette. Working in a global pandemic is not an easy thing to do, whether online or in person. In the difficult experience of adjusting to virtual life, one can have a sense of clinging on to the survival of ones sanity. With six months of his graduation scheme entirely online so far, join Daniel as he sheds light on the ups and downs of his experience.

What’s To Come
Why Are We Not Talking About Colourism?
Colourism. “The prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone, typically among people of the same ethnic or racial group” (Alice Walker 1983). Haven’t most of us rolled our eyes at this topic at some point? I know I have. This is precisely why this article was created. Colourism is not an easy topic to address. It is a very sensitive issue and many people of colour have experienced it. However, this doesn’t mean it is easy for some to feel free and open enough to talk about it without being criticised. Join RTB’s Aleida as she dives into the topic of colourism, or as she likes to call it “The hideously ugly little sister of racism” which drops on 20/06/2021
Have a great week!
